Academic Writing Course
Academic essay writing is an important skill that will be used throughout any education. We can't emphasize more the importance of writing quality academic essays. This course is designed to help students improve their ability in presenting their ideas clearly and logically in writing and learn how to properly write a research paper in English, culminating in a full-length research paper.
Who is this for?
GEC Academic Writing Course has been designed for every early researcher who is at the stage of writing their first research papers. Whether one is writing a manuscript for a scientific publication, Master thesis, or conference paper to present in front of audiences, this course can help students write a high-quality research paper.

How will students learn?
GEC Academic Writing Course comes in two forms: Group learning or Individual learning. In Group learning, students will be put into different groups based on their background (e.g. education status), and mostly a topic of interest such that students who have very similar research topics or personal interests will study together in the same class from the beginning. After group assignment, GEC will then match an Academic Writing Instructor, who is either a Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate with rich experience in research writing, with the group based on their specialization. The same step will be taken for the individual student despite the group assigning.
Typically, after the matching, students will then begin their 5-week online writing course. The class meets for 1.5-2 hours each week. During the class, the Academic Writing Instructor will deliver lectures focusing on class topics and provide the best possible training and mentoring to students as they begin writing their research papers.
What happens after?
After this course, students can continue to work on their papers at their own pace and seek instructors for help whenever they have questions regarding writing a research paper within 2 months after the course ends. GEC also provides free editing and proofreading service to all students who have taken the Research Writing Course with GEC.
